PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting directly to the Accessories & Footwear Product Director, the Accessories Designer will work to initiate concepts each season that are fashion driven and reflective of the creative vision and Guess aesthetic. The candidate must be organized and detail oriented, proactive and adaptable to shifting priorities. The Designer will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where they will collaborate with talented designers and cross-functional partners in the business.

He/She will develop all the design activities of the Accessories Division and will manage seasonal product design execution in order to achieve overall creative and business objectives.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Research of actual & new lifestyle trends with focus both on accessories and footwear collections

Bring creative ideas to the table and properly translate them into an aesthetic that clearly reflects and elevates the brand

Balance creative thinking with commercial viability while always evolving the product

Creates sketches, color rendering and product prototypes throughout the conceptual design processs on the basis of the briefing received

Prepare the design collection moodboard and presentation with prints, materials and color cards

Cooperate with new ideas and styles to develop the collection structures

Design project of hardware, prints and graphics

Support the prototype technical development

Demonstrate resourcefulness and apply creative thinking to issues in order to pro-actively present solutions

Maintain excellent partnerships and clear communication with internal cross-functional and external teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion and/or Design Arts
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position for an accessories and/or footwear brand
• Trend catcher and details researcher
• Social Media oriented
• Strong manufacturing knowledge in handbags and accessories
• Strong knowledge of fashion product, style and graphic trends
• Great understanding of accessories and footwear woman products, future trends and consumers
• Highly creative, Fashion eye with commercial awareness
• Paying attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
• ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines and design calendar
• Ability to work on multiple seasons at one time
• Adhere to seasonal and time and action calendars, ensuring that the category meets deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of specific software like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop3D design software will be a plus.
• Good knowledge of computer skills: excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
• Fluent English. Any Other European language will be a plus.
• Available for frequent travelling
