Position

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting directly to the JDA Manager, the IT Software Developer will be responsible for the improvement of the Systems in all the processes followed by JDA Team Guess.

The role will also give technical support to users, analyzing and troubleshooting problems.


CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Improve the application programs acting in observance of procedures and guidelines
  • Contribute to the implementation of Retail/Ecommerce System and its interfaces from and to all other relevant systems, contribute also to the improving of the UI of the main application
  • Collect new business requirements
  • Maintain ordinary, corrective and adaptive interfaces between Retail/Ecommerce System and all other systems
  • Collaborate in redesign, simplification and improvement of the processes
  • Work also as a point of contact for users, analysis of recurrent problems in order to find definitive solutions
  • Test periodically the appropriate functioning of the system using simulated data
  • Collaborate in the creation and update of the documentation related to usage and maintenance of the application program

Requirements

  • Previous experience with IBM RPGILE (free and fixed form) and CL knowledge
  • Could be considered an advantage one or more of the following:
    • Previous experience with Eclipse IDE;
    • Previous experience with GIT for versioning;
    • Previous experience with web services architectures and node.js;
  • Good relational database knowledge (Oracle, Sql Server or DB2)
  • Good understanding of Retail and Ecommerce processes could be considered as an advantage
  • Teamwork attitude
  • Good English Level is an advantage
