Position

PURPOSE OF THE JOB


Reporting directly to the Loss Prevention Director, the Loss Prevention Specialist will be responsible for the research, collection and analysis of corporate and non-corporate data, regarding Loss Prevention, security policies, theft and criminal issues

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and collect relevant socio-economical and criminology data or information
  • Collaborate, maintain and enforce a constructive communication with other corporate departments
  • Collect relevant corporate data or information
  • Support and coordinate the implementation of new and interdepartmental corporate web-interfaces, aiming at monitor as well as record Loss Prevention data
  • Set up analytical databases and formulate general as well as specific trends in order to support the improvement of Guess EU European Loss Prevention policy
  • Compose recommendations in order to guide the European Loss Prevention audit and visit process
  • Support and coordinate the carrying out and the up-dating of new Loss Prevention tools, materials and documentations, aiming at raise the awareness and the preventive skills of Guess EU managers and associates
  • Manage the proper dispatching of Loss Prevention tools, materials and documentations throughout Europe
  • Be the European loss prevention contact point and manage the questioning as well as the following-up in order to provide an excellent quality service to Guess EU managers and associates
  • Integrate objective and subjective data in existing databases
  • Create and manage new databases
  • Execute a research of information or data
  • Contact and communicate by phone as well as email with corporate and external, European or international partners
  • Participate and manage meetings with corporate and external, European or international partners
  • Present monthly results stressing clear trends regarding Guess EU Loss Prevention situation and its operational impact
  • Compose reports addressing clear recommendations in the framework of the Loss Prevention visit or audit
  • Receive, deal with, answer or monitor the answers to questions made by Guess EU managers or associates via phone, fax, e-mail or postal phone
  • Adapt, improve, create and develop the layout, the aspect and the formal presentation of Loss Prevention web application, handbook, guide, poster, folder and weekly newsletters in order to promote their smooth understanding and make their application easier
  • Perform the mailing and the uploading of web application, handbook, guide, poster, folder and weekly newsletters
  • Support retail team handling EMEA LP equipment maintenance and service claims
  • Support EMEA retail team contributing to the sock take program and facilitating communication with back office retail

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA or MA degree, preferably in criminal justice or in public/security policies
  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of security and crime prevention; multi-store experience, especially with retail specialty stores preferred
  • Strong written, verbal and computer skills
  • Strong communication & organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards, using judgment and discretion
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to solve problems and provide solution alternatives
  • A good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; any experience in the web-design is an asset
  • Perfect written and spoken English; any additional language (Italian, French, Spanish or German) is a serious advantage
