PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Planner Operations Specialist owns all communications with Channels and Customers worldwide on the On-Time Performance and on the Action plans taken to mitigate any potential delay.
Working closely with the senior colleague of the Planning Team, he/she is responsible for collecting comments from different departments and be always UpToDate on arrival flows.
Thanks to his/her level of expertise in the role, he/she will perform high level of professionalism on the daily work activities, dealing with mid and high-level position roles inside Guess.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the various business areas: Planning, Buyers, Purchasing, Sourcing, Product Development, Raw material/Fabric Dept., Quality Control Team and Logistics in order to ensure smooth communication and follow-up
- Have excellent skills and knowledge about procedures and systems and ensure that all stakeholders involved in deliveries performance respect agreed with processes and deadlines
- BULK production PO follow-up: ensure the product is delivered on time and in the right quantity, daily monitor of the arrival and immediately communicate to all stakeholders.
- Communicate to buying team and Customer Services GLOBALLY in case of critical delays/shortages
- Collect Buyers requests for delivery changes and coordinate with Purchasing team to fulfill them, when feasible
- Weekly follow-up with purchasing & sourcing team to collect related information on vendor delays and action plans to recover delays.
- Follow up on team projects which are aiming to increase the efficiency of team performance (development of Automatic PO creation)
- Data system downloads and checks (Assortment sheets, GBW data from Enovia, DP from Sail, ad hoc from Microstrategy)
- Help back-up the team and assists in training new specialists if needed
- Support the Planner in CARRY OVER programs stock level monitoring
- Support the Planners on MPS data check for CARRY OVER rebuy
- Support in daily planning activities
- Check on alignment/ consistency between systems data (Sustainability Map, Master Data harmonization, MOF original request vs actual on GBW)
- Develop or suggest ways to automate transaction activity
- Obtain data from external and/or internal sources.
- Analyze data for completeness and accuracy
