PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Collaborate with Inventory Planning Team in order to maximize the sales of the stores by planning the optimum product mix of sales and inventory in line with the store grade and within agreed target and KPI’s. Ultimately to meet or exceed sales opportunities (targets) and manage stock risk (markdown and terminal stock) that will deliver the net margin budget.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Accountable to the Inventory Planning Specialist, to monitor the execution of store sales and stock strategies and to deal with any issues as and when they arise.
• Work closely with the Regional Merchants Teams to identify any stock issues at store level, suggesting corrective actions to drive sales.
• In cooperation with the Inventory Planning Specialist, work with the Allocation team to guarantee that the correct products are available in the correct locations within the correct time, based on the seasonal plans.
• Monitor performance and stock levels daily/weekly and take any necessary actions. Attend appropriate weekly Planning, Country and Distribution meetings.
• Support Inventory team in markdown and promotional activities during specific seasonal timeframe.
• Support the Inventory Team for any requests directly linked to any sales and stock issues.
• Take a proactive role on any improvements or enhancements to the Inventory Team systems / processes at any level.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 2 years in multi-site retail business, possibly in the fashion Retail sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field is preferred
• Fluent in English and Italian (written & spoken) is essential
• Team player, ability to work independently and customer oriented
• Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Proficient in MS Office, in particular Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to tailor message to all levels in the business, including delivering clear and concise presentations
