PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Trade Marketing Specialist is responsible for the strategy of the trade marketing activities across wholesale channel and countries, in alignment with the corporate trade marketing and communication strategy.
He/she will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of all trade marketing plans across the Wholesales business.
The role will also ensure customer satisfaction as a main priority, representing the link between merchandising, product management and sales teams and ensuring the achievement of sales and budget objectives.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify sales tools that effectively present the brand, products and marketing initiatives to customers. Collaborate with the sales team to turn “selling stories” into sales.
- Interact with product managers and the marketing team to build sales promotions and product communication
- Define guidelines for the Seasonal marketing strategy, coherent with the brand identity.
- Develop the sales of POP materials by finding the most efficient solutions, which include managing the budgeting process, logistics, distribution and assortment
- Manage and develop direct marketing activities in direct markets for wholesale clients.
- Maximize the communication of the product to the end-consumer
ACTIVITIES
Marketing Guidelines
- Identify marketing initiatives based on market needs and strategic goals
- Manage day-by-day communication with regional sales managers and ensure all needs are met
- Collaborate with the sales team and agencies to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives
- Work with product and marketing teams to create marketing collaterals, releasing communication and campaigns to promote the collection
- Create ideas for the development of new tools and product presentations based on global requirements
- Interacting with agents, distributors, customers and Sales team to exchange information about customers and market situation;
Pop Material
- Develop trade marketing tools from the initial idea to the prototype production
- Negotiate quotations with vendors for the creation of new projects
- Coordinate with the product team to establish the timing schedule of trade marketing tools on a seasonal basis
- Collect orders from clients and process them to vendors
- Provide reports to monitor trade marketing tools sales
- Manage and develop direct marketing activities in wholesale channel
Vendor Relationship
- Communicate constantly with vendors to ensure production and deliveries timelines
- Track stock deliveries, making sure goods arrive on time and meet quality standards
- Maximize and optimize costs provided from all vendors
- Stock control
- Arrival planning of the trade marketing material in warehouse
Interacting with other Guess departments
- Follow up with customer service and logistics to deliver trade marketing tools to clients
Digital corporate systems
- Organize and assist the photo shooting, in order to upload photos with the correct styles codes on the company systems/portals
Budget
- Plan the year trade marketing budget with the VP Wholesale Sales & Marketing and the Marketing Director
- Plan and provide a forecast for trade marketing initiative
- Monitor that costs are in line with the forecast/budget submitted
- Collect, check and confirm the vendors invoices and other invoices concerning the trade marketing costs
Projects
- Develop WDP/Trade marketing section with IT and graphic team
- Develop new marketing platform for services (POP UP, seasonal poster change, windows, special events) as a new marketing tool for sales references in favour of European wholesale channel
